01Overview
SparkAir handles residential and small commercial electrical installations across Melbourne — new circuits, powerpoints, sub-boards, appliance connections and full renovation rough-ins. All work is carried out by a licensed electrician (REC 37544) to the AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules, with the required Electrical Safety Certificate on completion.

On renovations and extensions, we coordinate with the builder, cabinetmaker, plumber and HVAC installer so the electrical rough-in lands in the right sequence — before plaster, before benchtop, before final fit-off — and there's no last-minute rework.

Every new circuit, outlet and sub-board is installed to the AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules, with RCD protection on new final sub-circuits as required. Prescribed electrical work is certified with an Electrical Safety Certificate on completion, as required under Energy Safe Victoria. For rental properties, we can align the installation with a two-yearly rental electrical safety check under the Residential Tenancies Regulations 2021.

Usually yes. We run a new spur or a short circuit from a nearby suitable point, or from the switchboard where the existing circuit is at capacity. We confirm the safest option after inspecting the space.

Yes. We work from plans (or a walk-through) to scope rough-ins, coordinate with other trades, and fit off once cabinetry and finishes are in.

A straight-forward extra outlet on an existing circuit is often a short visit. If the wall cavity is hard to access, or a new circuit has to run back to the switchboard, allow more time — we'll confirm after a quick look at the space.
Yes. Outdoor circuits use weatherproof IP-rated fittings and RCD protection. We plan cable routes to avoid tree roots and future landscaping where possible.
